Once upon a treadmill, I thought I was just shedding pounds.
I thought the journey would be about numbers on a scale, a smaller dress size, maybe a flatter tummy. I imagined before-and-after pictures, meal preps, and sweaty high-fives. And yes, I had all of that—but something unexpected happened on the way.
I found wellness.
Not the kind in glossy magazines or perfect Pinterest boards, but the kind that slowly unfolds in quiet mornings, in deep breaths, in learning to listen to your body’s whispers before they become screams.
I found me.
And oh, what a discovery that was.The journey started with weight loss, but somewhere between the burpees and the green smoothies, I stumbled upon rituals that made my soul sigh with relief—journaling at 5 a.m., dancing in the living room just because, walking in nature with no destination but presence.
Then came movement—not just the kind that burns calories, but the kind that moves your spirit.
Yoga on hotel balconies, hikes through hills I never knew existed, impromptu bike rides in strange cities. I began to travel—not just across places, but within.
Solo trips turned into soul trips.
I’ve sipped tea with strangers who became sisters. I’ve watched sunsets that felt like the sky wrote a poem just for me. I’ve laughed until I cried, cried until I healed, and healed until I became whole.
This blog used to be about losing something—now it’s about everything I’ve found.
So, welcome to the new chapter.
This space is now for wellness, wonder, and wanderings. For stories of a life unfolding beautifully. For reflections, tips, adventures, and quiet moments that whisper, “You’re doing just fine.”
If you’re still chasing a number on the scale, I see you. Just know: sometimes the best part of the journey isn’t reaching the goal… it’s the version of yourself you meet along the way.
Let’s walk this path together—light-hearted, open-hearted, and full of curiosity.
Dee♥️
