Body Love & Self-Acceptance: Taking the Power Back

I’ve lost 20kg.
You’d think that would be the end of the story, right?
That I'd look in the mirror and see the new me—lighter, stronger, healthier.
But sometimes, I don’t.

Sometimes, I still see the “before.”
Sometimes, my mind still plays tricks on me—showing me old shadows of a body I no longer live in.
That’s when I realized: it was never just about the weight.

It’s about how you see yourself.
How you talk to yourself.
How you love yourself—no matter the number on the scale.

I found self-acceptance on this journey.

Not the kind that only comes when you “achieve the goal,” but the kind that says:
“I love you right here. Right now. No conditions. No performance. Just because you are.”

Positive self-talk, affirmations, breathwork, meditation… they became my soul medicine.
They reminded me that my body is not a problem to fix—it’s a miracle to celebrate.🥳

And when I struggled, I remembered something so pure:
A baby discovering her feet for the first time.
She stares in awe.
She grabs her toes. She giggles. She tries to chew on them.
She doesn’t judge. She doesn’t compare.
She’s just fascinated—in love with her own body.
That’s how we all started.

Until someone we trusted—maybe a parent, a classmate, a crush—said something unkind.
And we believed them.

But not anymore.

Body love and self-acceptance is about taking the power back.
It’s returning to that baby-like awe.
It’s looking in the mirror and saying: “This body has carried me through everything. And I’m grateful.”
It’s loving every stretch mark, curve, wrinkle, scar, and freckle as evidence that you’ve lived.

This isn’t just body positivity—it’s body reverence.
It’s not performative. It’s personal.

So wherever you are in your journey—whether you’ve lost weight, gained some, or stayed the same—just remember:

Your worth was never measured in kilos.
Your beauty isn’t up for debate.
Your body is not a project—it’s a home.🏡

Take your power back.
You deserve to feel safe and loved in your own skin.💪💐🙌💓
